LVD Puma fiber laser cutting machine designed for cost efficiency

LVD has introduced the Puma fiber laser cutting machine designed to provide high-technology features and performance at a lower total cost of ownership. Offered with a 3-, 6-, or 12-kW laser in 3,050- by 1,525-mm, 4,065- by 2,035-mm, and 6,160- by 2,035-mm formats, the automation-ready system handles a variety of cutting applications.

The welded steel, monoframe construction provides stability to achieve quality cutting at high feed rates, says the company. The cutting head incorporates crash protection, motorized focus-position adjustment, and capacitive height sensing, as well as automated functions for sheet referencing, cutting gas selection, pressure control, and nozzle cleaning.

The shuttle table system allows one table to be loaded or unloaded while cutting on the other table. Table changeover takes 35 seconds.
