What is Ffiws?

Ffiws is a co-operative Makerspace that is situated at 125 High Street Porthmadog. The space contains a variety of different high-tech equipment, as well as electronics equipment and hand tools.

What is the aim of the project?

  • Create a community of makers in the area
  • To give everyone the chance to access high-tech equipment
  • Encourage creativity and to learn new skills
  • We hope that the community will be able to take ownership of the space and to carry it on beyond our pilot project.

Who can use the equipment?

The space is open to anyone over the age of 18 and for those between 14 and 18 if they are with a responsible adult. We will be arranging special workshops for children under the age of 14. Before using any of the equipment in the space you MUST attend an induction session.
